Ideally located at The Charles Guest House you will find The Charles Café serving up scrumptious all-day breakfasts, light lunches and delicious coffee.

The Charles Café is open 7 days a week:
Mondays to Fridays: 07h00 to 21h30 (dinner 18h00 – 21h30)
Saturdays, Sundays & Public Holidays: 08h00 to 15h00

Special arrangements have been made with Village Café proprietor, Neil Viljoen, for our guests to enjoy breakfast at his café between 07h00 and 10h00 daily. The café is situated on the corner of Napier and Waterkant Street.


Unfortunately, parking is very limited in De Waterkant Village; however, secure underground parking is available at the Cape Quarter Shopping Centre at an additional cost. The parking area is centrally located and within walking easy distance to the main shops, boutiques, restaurants, and other activities.

We offer two unique, private venues for small to medium functions that provide stylish alfresco entertaining spaces and spectacular vistas. Beautiful outdoor terraces boast bird's eye views of De Waterkant's colourful buildings and cobblestone streets, with ample protection from the elements.
